A tradition rooted in the Pacific.

Poké (pronounced poh-kay) is the Hawaiian word meaning "to slice" or "to cut." It originated with native Hawaiian fishermen who would serve fresh catches raw — sliced, tossed with sea salt, and topped with seaweed.
